Gulfs in Europe?

are there any gulfs in europe 21:42, 6 September 2006‎ User:68.66.190.41

"A gulf or bay is a part of a lake or ocean that extends so that it is surrounded by land on three sides" -- not true for the Gulf of Maine, nor a number of other gulfs I can think of.

Also, gulfs in Europe: Gulf of Cadiz, Gulf of Bothnia, Gulf of Finland.. etc. (and BTW, the Gulf of Cadiz is not surrounded by land on three sides. Just saying.) Pfly 21:43, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
