todo: copy/move some details from the HDTV article.

I remember seeing 16:9 MAC-transmissions from the winter olympics in 1992. Where those HD-MAC or just wide screen D2-MAC?

I saw the demos in Paris. These were true HD-MAC, but could also be seen with D2-MAC receivers as the system was designed to be compatible. I have modified some details in the article based on the ETSI specification. Also, i have insisted on front video projectors rather than retroprojectors, because this is the way it was set up at both sites i visited in Paris (FNAC and Eiffel tower). I suppose it is possible that some other sites had rear projection TV sets, and those are mentioned for the world exposition in Seville in some of the links i have added, so i left it in the article, but fixed the internal link that only led to "television sets". A "full HD" picture must be 30 ° wide in the field of vision. For HD-MAC that only transmitted 1440 pixels horizontally, this is down to 24 °. This still requires a big image, though, so i guess video projectors were used wherever possible in receiving sites. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metazoaire (talkcontribs) 20:48, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really understand the problem with the lux unit mentioned in history. Should it be Lux instead to match with the english wikipedia entry ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metazoaire (talkcontribs) 22:52, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
