Dubious

Not likely; at best, just strange choice of units to use, but most likely misconversions as well, and the originals should be first, not in parentheses. Gene Nygaard (talk) 09:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Operational History (RN)
[edit]In the section about Bellona's support for the landings in Normandy this sentence appears—'At night Bellona went close inshore and did the support firings.'
This is one of the most badly constructed sentences I have come across in Wikipedia. Unless any complaints appear I will, after 15 May, replace that sentence with—'During the night Bellona would approach close to the coast to be able to fire further inshore in support of the invading forces.' Devonport, Sydney and aerials
[edit]In the edit:
I have briefly explained that the 'Devonport' mentioned is the one in NZ, not UK
Likewise, that the Sydney was an aircraft carrier.
Deleted 'aerials' in 'radio aerials'. I'm no signals expert, but I'm pretty sure that it is the radio which transmits; the aerial merely passes the signal on. If I'm wrong, please change it back.
