many of the statements I have marked as needing citation seem to be from the French-language interview in the bibliography, but it's not exactly the same text either. Should be checked to make sure it doesn't veer too much into copy vio, but the citations do seem to be there; there are long quotes by this filmaker. And there seems to be notability in the awards and in the collaboration with notable cinematographers at a minimum. I did a huge edit for flowery non-encyclopedic writing and have had enough for now, but if nobody else fixes this I will. (Sooner or later). I suspect this would be a much easier article to expand for an Arabic speaker though. Elinruby (talk) 06:23, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
PS Ciné-Club Damascus seems to be a big deal and is associated with the "father of Syrian cinema" that her mentor made a film about, in fact he apparently manufactured equipment for it that was not otherwise available. Originally a part of the National Film Organization, it lost access to its initial venue when the two became separate organizations. Not sure if it was the first or the second venue that is listed in this article. Elinruby (talk) 06:43, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
