Times Obituary[edit]
There's an obituary in The Times Dec 13 1943, p. 6 col d, apparently. Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 12:32, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
British Birds obituary[edit]
Makes no mention of Henry being his name. It says Harry Forbes Witherby was bom on October 7th, 1873. He was the second surviving son of Henry Forbes Witherby, R.B.A., of Burley, Hants, ... A reliable source (ie, not Beolens et al.) would be useful here. Shyamal (talk) 05:54, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- This is possibly due to confusion with the publishing company which was after his father's name. Ibis obituary confirms only Harry as does London Gazette http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/26800/pages/7184 http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/27055/pages/1138 http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/31360/supplements/6504.
