It's Gassaway, NOT Glassaway!
[edit]The man's name was Henry GASSAWAY Davis. The middle name is misspelled throughout the article, in a footnote (which links to a PDF showing the correct spelling) and even in the title, which seems virtually impossible to edit for spelling errors.
