Thanks for the help

[edit]

Thank you Graham87 and SWP13 for your help in tidying up this article, adding an infobox, and making more sensible and less spammy incoming links. I just added the logo and removed the "orphan" tag, as well as adding a couple categories. -Lizhpowell (talk) 22:32, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

COI Editor seeks assistance to improve article

[edit]

Hello my name is Mike, I work for Hiya. My predecessor updated the article several years ago with help from volunteers. Now, it is in need of updating again. We have also received considerable media coverage since it was last updated, and some of those citations should probably be added. My first request is to update the info box. Our employee count is now 150, and the former Chief Operating Officer, Kush Parikh, is now President of Hiya. I can share sources for both edits; see below. There are other revisions that, I think, would improve the article, but the info box seems like the logical place to start. Thanks in advance! Mferr1986 (talk) 19:11, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mferr1986: I'm sorry, I didn't have time to review your edits and sources. You can let more people see your request if you use the template {{Request edit}} on the talk page. Nonethless, the changes you've proposed here seem to be acceptable (neutral), and the websites seem like reliable sources (GeekWire and Bizjournals). However, the 150 number is, according to your source, false - the article seemingly says "120 employees".
I made the changes for you, so that you didn't have to write a COI edit summary. Opal|zukor(discuss) 08:23, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for your assistance, User:Opalzukor. One slight correction to the edits you made: The correct titles for Hiya executives are Alex Algard (CEO and founder) and Kush Parikh (President). Would you also have time to take a look at a couple more updates? 1) Citation is needed in the first sentence of the History section. I believe this article is the correct source: https://venturebeat.com/2009/07/14/whitepages-now-the-largest-database-of-american-people-cleans-up-act/ 2) Add a mention of Hiya’s current user base to the History section. The article currently reads: “As of April 2016, the Hiya app had 25 million downloads.” There’s a good opportunity to update this by adding something like: “As of December 2020, Hiya had more than 150 million users.” The source for this is: https://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/news/2020/12/14/hiya-to-grow-headcount-in-2021.html Thank you. I really appreciate your help improving the page. Mferr1986 (talk) 16:35, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
