NPOV dispute

[edit]

This article contains a great deal of contradictory material--and I am hardly have the expertise to adjudicate. In particular: "George Gabriel's writings on icons are heretical, as is this Wikipedia article." Could a better source be found for the information? Perhaps something that is widely accepted in the Orthodox faith as well as scholarly work? Declaring a Wikipedia article heretical is clearly non NPOV.Samuelet (talk) 20:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

im not very good at discussion protocol, but this article is heretical horse manure. the hospitality of abraham was always understood as a trinitarian representation. the so called angels are the trinity. you should delete the whole subject or write something within orthodox theology.

Capitalization

[edit]

The capitalization of icon in the article's title implies that it is a Proper noun: about a particular object but it is not. Holy Trinity icon is not a very descriptive title either. I am proposing that it be changed to Holy Trinity iconography, but am open to other suggestions. Editor2020 (talk) 00:02, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AAARGH, no. Iconography is NOT the painting of icons. The title is fine, with lc "i", or "Holy Trinity in icons". Johnbod (talk) 02:10, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
So you are suggesting changing the title to either Holy Trinity icons or Holy Trinity in icons then? Anyone else? Editor2020 (talk) 19:05, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
