Addition[edit]

I added the previous Miami race results, since there is a "loose" connection between the two events via promoter Ralph Sanchez. There isn't enough information to warrant a seperate page for the Tamiami & downtown Miami street course races, so I think it's appropriate to include them here, since the continuity works. Move[edit]

The official IRL site and the Homestead-Miami Speedway site are now advertising this race as the XM Satellite Radio Indy 300. The page has been moved to that location. Doctorindy 14:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to create a separate page for Miami-Fulford Speedway. I have a draft page worked up in my sandbox with citations. Anybody see a need to do that?

Two circuits[edit]

There seems to be some confusion regarding the two previous courses from the CART/Champ Car days....

According to this link http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/NAmerica/USA/FL/tamiamipark.html The first track at Tamiami Park was this layout, and not the same location as the IMSA course.

Then on this link, the Bicentennial Park layout is here... http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/NAmerica/USA/FL/miami95.html Which upon examination, is what is shown on the Google Maps link.

- Upon some further examination, the Tamiami Park Circuit is clearly easy to spot from Google Earth aerials as being at the corner of University Park and SW 117th Ave in Tamiami, FL, right to the east of SR 821. There are several baseball fields in the infield, but most of the track's roads still exist today. The only difference is that they built a new football stadium where the mainstrech used to be, and the pit straight was dug up to create parking spaces.

So that said, the Tamiami Park circuit 'is' in Tamiami, Florida. The second course (IMSA course) should be called the "Bicentennial Park" course. Doctorindy 15:08, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
