Blake killed by Neferet?

[edit]

I think this may need a citation. In Chosen, it was also revealed that Loren Blake was in love with Neferet. Dared111 (talk) 19:04, 8 December 2009 (UTC) I was confused by this too, I mean he loved her I thought it was Zoey's religious father's group? Because the group killed a few vampires throughtout the first three books. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.242.67.122 (talk) 01:30, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'm a huge fan and I know EVERYTHING! Neferet killed Loren because Loren was actually falling for Zoey, according to Lorens' thoughts when he returned to Neferet. That's what it says in later books. AND, the step-losers' group wants NOTHING to do with vampires and in Betrayed, he is banned from campus, so he NEVER wants anything to do with Zoey

The before statement was absolutely correct, Loren Blake loved Neferet, however after connecting with Zoey, Neferet mistook these feelings for Blake's love for Zoey. As well as this Zoey cared about Blake, so killing Blake hurt Zoey a lot more than it hurt Neferet who never reeeeaally loved Blake anyway XxVampyreQueenxX (talk) 12:43, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ending lines of the Religion section

[edit]

Was there any point to the references on Twilight's criticism of being a "safe" vampire novel and how it's not true of House of Night? It seems really out of place, even if I agree whole-heartedly. Caterfree10 (talk) 05:03, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I think it sheds light on an interesting aspect of House of Night. The point being that in this way House of Night subverts the conventions of the genre, so it's valid to discuss what those conventions are. Similarly, any discussion of Northanger Abbey will discuss the standard Gothic fiction to help you understand just what it is that Austen is parodying. Another example... a review of Chan Is Missing might state that a standard detective story tells who did it in the end, in order to show how Chan is Missing, by ending in as mysterious fashion as it began, forces you to question the conventions of the detective story.Promking (talk) 23:12, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

JJcool Wikipedia got it wrong. only Zoey has an affinity for the elements. her freinds dont. she lets them feel it by standing close to them. and Aphrodite is a vampyre. she is a sixth former. Not human

um.... maybe you should finish reding the series ( or maybe the second book ) before making assumptions. lots of things change in the second and third book —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.78.125.116 (talk) 21:41, 25 July 2010 (UTC) well if she did kill him then it was because she was jelous of Zoey Redbird and well she wanted konla to rise as her one and only!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.61.209.73 (talk) 13:52, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summaries

[edit]

The summaries for both the books and character should be written more objectively and cohesively. I would do it myself but I don't know how to stay objective. Heyyloser (talk) 15:06, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree completely. It sounds like a review for the book that someone wants to suggest, but I could only bring myself to read the first half of the book, and doing so seemed to make my own writing exponentially worse. Neferet Moved to Immortals Section

[edit]

Why is Neferet still listed in the Vampyre section? By the end of the most recent book she's an immortal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.52.177.30 (talk) 20:09, 23 September 2010 (UTC) What is the Theme??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.115.23.62 (talk) 03:29, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Idk, you are right, the white bull and darkness pretty much gave her immortality and she is like a female, more evil Kalona XxVampyreQueenxX (talk) 12:45, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism

[edit]

Why isn't there a criticism section? Has no one noticed the complaints from offended Christians who feel demonized by the way "People of Faith" are portrayed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CatDemonNinja (talkcontribs) 03:11, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chronology

[edit]

In the detailed Books section Dragon's Oath is situated after Destined, though it takes place immediately after Awakened. Does someone object to my moving it accordingly?--Eb00kie (talk) 19:05, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Individual novel articles

[edit]

Hi there, I notice that articles have recently been created for the following novels in the series. Some are unreferenced and one appears to have been only partly translated from Romanian. They look as though they are a work in progress. It occurs to me that editors who are knowledgeable about the series might like to take a look and discuss whether the individual novels meet whether the notability criteria for books and, if so, help improve the articles.

Characters section

[edit]

Hello, I found out that there was a special page on the House of Night characters. I believe we should empty the section, everything except for the main template, because of redundancy and the duplicate content, as the List of characters in the House of Night series is rather more complete and extensive on the subject. Any objections? -Eb00kie (talk) 12:51, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

[edit]

The plot on each book is way to detailed, not to say entirely copied, if you look at Burned. If we are to consider that a detailed summary is contained in each of the main articles on each section, does anyone have any objections to replacing them with a 40%length version? Eb00kie (talk) 15:32, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sectioning

[edit]

I wonder if the books outside of the main series (all books listed after Redeemed) should be under a header called "supplementary works" because they are mostly for lore and character development, not plot. Julia500 (talk) 01:58, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone more familiar with the series than I care to add it to this list?

[edit]

Types of mythological or fantastic beings in contemporary fiction is a page of, well, fantasy works (movie, TV, written, whatever) and the assorted mythological and/or fantastic critters they contain. This series would probably qualify. Anyone care to add it? Tamtrible (talk) 18:24, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
