[edit]I put in a request at wikiproject:Korea to translate 체광족. The closest I've come up with is Chepang, which isn't a likely match. kwami (talk) 08:50, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, another source[1] (and here[2]) has 체팡족 "Chepang", so all's well. kwami (talk) 20:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- The "Lao" of Chiang Mai is dubious: Lao has a writing system, and is basically Thai anyway. More likely one of the hill tribes, and the reporter got confused. kwami (talk) 20:47, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
hangul not adopted for Cia-Cia
[edit]http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/nation/2010/10/113_74114.html
From the article:
Hangeul didn’t become Cia Cia’s official writing
Mistranslation causes media hype over Korean writing system
Wikipedia currently says that "In 2009 it succeeded in getting the city of Bau-Bau ... to adopt hangul for the Cia-Cia language"
