Isaac Hayes

[edit]

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but Isaac Hayes was only in .. Maybe, less than five scenes? Does that qualify him to be in the "starring" section in the box? I'm pretty sure he played the owner of a store, or something along those lines, who helps DJay meet Skinny Black. Mattfish 06:23, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

[edit]

I have proposed to merge the article Whoop that Trick into this article - the song only seems notable by its relation to this film and doesn't seem to deserve an article of its own. Kcordina 09:18, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK...

[edit]

I made "Whoop that trick" a separate entry because of it's common use as an interjection and pop culture reference, at least where I live, but it might be better suited in Hustle and Flow or Djay.

Fair use rationale for Image:Hustle and flow.jpg

[edit]

Image:Hustle and flow.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:34, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

I've added this:

  • As concepts of both hustle and flow are unique to African American culture, it turned out to be nearly impossible to find proper translations for international release of the film. For example, Russian translation of the title means "The fuss and the torrent".

Any comments? Netrat_msk (talk) 14:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

word choice

[edit]

"The film, like its own plot, has had a hard life" sounds like something from a highschool essay or an op-ed. Deserves to be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Useruserusernamename (talkcontribs) 03:06, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
