[edit]What color is Hydrophis belcheri? Why can I not find any images of it on the Internet and no descriptions of it on the Internet? The two references listed are a magazine article and a CD-ROM? Cannot find them anywhere either.
According to wikipedia, the Hydrophis Belcheri is the poisonous snake in the world. Then why everybody hasn't accepted it yet?Why haven't the others, like animal planet etc. edited their list of poisonous snakes? They still think that Inland Taipan is the poisonous snake in world. So is there anything that we can do to tell them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Blackhawk y2k316 (talk • contribs) 08:02, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Blackhawk y2k316: To start with, Hydrophis belcheri is venomous, not poisonous. Secondly, unless you have hard evidence to the contrary, the Inland Taipan is actually the world’s most venomous snake (as supported by its incredibly low LD50 value in mice). LD50
[edit]Isn't is 0.24 μg/kg , not 0.24 mg/kg ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.188.7.198 (talk) 20:04, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
The reported value in the literature was in the form of 0.24 ug/g, which can be re-stated as the more widely used unit, 0.24 mg/kg. Note: ug/g equals (1x10-6g)/g ; mg/kg equals (1x10-3g)/(1x103g). Either way, there is a 1x10-6 "gap" between the upper and lower values. ChristopherJRex (talk) 04:09, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
Expansion
[edit]This article is way too short and is missing important information on the species, including information on it's venom , taxonomy, and behavior, the latter of which is missing information on the snake's diet, and reproduction. There is also no citations in the article's main body and needs to have proper footnotes added. The infobox also needs to be expanded and images of the species added to the article's infobox and in the article's main body. This is probably the worst article on a major animal species on this site and there is a lot of work that needs to be done to this article with the additions and fixes already listed needing to be done in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's standards and guidelines of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 18:49, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
