tetrahydrobiopterin abbreviated as BH4
[edit]In other literature, I've seen tetrahydrobiopterin abbreviated as "BH4", compared to "THB" in this article. If both are in common usage, then perhaps articles about tetrahydrobiopterin should indicate both abbreviations. I'd gotten the impression that BH4 is the preferred abbreviation. 162.89.0.47 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 18:01, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
- A crude PubMed search suggests that BH4 is 3 times as popular as THB. I've therefore added it as an alternative to simplify it for experts. I think, however, that the main name used in the article should remain THB because it will make more sense to people not already familiar with it, as THB looks more like tetrahydrobiopterin than BH4 does. Please add a mention of a newly-created article
[edit]I created an article, please add a mention to improve interlinkage: Mild non-BH4-deficient hyperphenylalaninemia. Cheers, --CopperKettle (talk) 12:14, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
