At the moment, there is no separate 'IDX file extension' article. 'IDX file extension' redirects to DirectVobSub, which is only one of the programs that used or uses .idx files. This redirection may or may not make sense. I think it does not, but I did not want to interfere with the redirection. Instead I chose to change the text "stores an index of files used by various programs" somewhat and to create a direct link to DirectVobSub. That way it becomes clearer that there might be other kinds of .idx files, while still maintaining a link to the (most common?) use by DirectVobSub. --MichielN (talk) 11:02, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
