Remove "Facebook buys WhatsApp" from timelines

Article in need of cleanup

I have added new hatnotes because this article is in serious need of a cleanup and revamp. Sucrehypsy (talk) 19:27, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well I've managed to do a big cleanup today. Lots of unreferenced, irrelevant, and OR content removed. Improved ordering and created sub-headings where needed to be readable. Updated some parts of the article and expanded others such as Interoperability. Overview is now short and clear and concise unlike the mess it was before.
