Cedar Rapids
[edit]To set the record straight (or flat?): JR Monterose never recorded in Cedar Rapids, IA (unless there are some bootlegs out there), though he lived and played there at the Tender Trap, a club owned by drummer Joe Abodeely. He recorded with Abodeely in Rock Island, IL (and would often go there to jam on weekends at the Yankee Clipper). There's more to the story (of course), but I don't want to have to defend myself in a possible libel suit.
