Can someone please upload a picture over here? He's damn good he deserves it! I'm not a member so I cant do it myself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.110.107.251 (talkcontribs) 05:24, 4 October 2006

The problem is that we can't use a photo unless it's been released into the public domain or released under the GNU Free Documentation License. If you have such a photo, you can upload it with the copyright information and we can use it. I agree with you that a photo would be a good addition to this article. --Fool4jesus (talk) 19:46, 15 March 2016 (UTC)== Problem About Jack Finney Book == The article on Jack Finney said that the aliens came out of the seed pods in invasion of the body snatchers, but really the seed pods ARE the aliens, and they don't take over the bodies of humans, they take the form of whatever life form is nearby while it (the life form)is asleep, turning whatever they copied to dust in the process.[reply]

If the article is incorrect, fix it. Fool4jesus (talk) 19:46, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Death

[edit]

The New York Times ran an obituary on November 17, 1995, stating that Finney "died yesterday," which contradicts the date given in the Article. Might this be cleared up?71.192.4.218 (talk) 16:02, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the external link at http://www.writing.upenn.edu/~afilreis/50s/finney-obit.html either picked up an error from the NYT that was later corrected or made a copying error. I changed the link to go directly to the NYT obit, dated November 17, 1995, whish opens with "Jack Finney, the author of the time-travel novel "Time and Again" and the science-fiction thriller "The Body Snatchers," died on Tuesday". Tuesday was the 14th. The SSDI search at [1] shows the 14th as the death date for Walter B. Finney.--Hjal (talk) 17:25, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

screenplays?

[edit]

Didn't Finney also write screenplays? NaySay (talk) 03:56, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Variant titles

[edit]

Regarding 5 Against the House (Doubleday 1954): I have a copy of the Pan paperback edition of 1956 which is titled on the cover and title page as Five Against the House. Should this be appended in the article, or is it too trivial a variation to bother with?

The first British edition was published by Eyre & Spottiswoode in 1954, and as far as I can confirm was also titled Five . . .".

For interest, the book was published in French by Éditions Gallimard in 1954 as Néant à roulettes. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 2.122.59.177 (talk) 19:44, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
