Where is there bias or non-accurate information?--Leonardo Alves 03:52, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

needs rewrite

[edit]

the article looks like it duplicates itself (two birthdates; 1840 and 1843). probably this needs a wholesale rewrite. --FeanorStar7 00:44, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And there's way too much "yeshivish", i.e. yiddish/hebrew words used unnecessarily. Why say talmidim when you can say students? --MattCohen 03:16, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The reference to the Forward newspaper as one of the Joseph's outspoken opponents on the kashrut tax was deleted. The Forward was not even in existence until 1897. This scandal broke in the 1880s, and was completely over by 1895. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrnhghts (talkcontribs) 05:12, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In 2023 i still found biased language, and removed it. Words like "vehement" and "salacious" do not belong in this article. The former was used to characterize an unnamed Yiddish newspaper; the latter was used to characterize unstated rumours about the rabbi's personal life. If some author wants to publish the actual charges made and name the newspaper, that would be fine, but without a citation, it seems best to tone it down to a mere statement of fact without the oratorical polemics. -- catherine yronwode, not logged in 75.101.104.17 (talk) 19:12, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
