Merge proposal

[edit]

I propose merging Committee of Nine (Indonesia) into this page as it duplicates content in this article, which details all the committee did, and has no English language references. Davidelit (Talk) 05:18, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification please, are you saying that the content fork needs to be over 6,000 words long to be justified, or that because the main article is under 6,000 words, it doesn't require forking? 🍫 TheBrowniess (talk) (contribs) 🍫 23:56, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Refer to WP:WHENSPLIT, the two main reasons for splitting material out from an article are size and content relevance. Since the article is under 6,000 words, size cannot be used to justify forking. Therefore, we need a clear case for WP:CONTENTSPLIT to justify forking, but I cannot find any reasons for such a case. Ckfasdf (talk) 07:36, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Welp rules are rules, I guess. Can we get another opinion at least? Before merging the articles. 🍫 TheBrowniess (talk) (contribs) 🍫 13:28, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Typically, the merge discussion stays open for about a week. If no one objects, it can be closed earlier, but it wouldn't hurt to keep it open for the full week before merging. Ckfasdf (talk) 14:28, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! 🍫 TheBrowniess (talk) (contribs) 🍫 23:18, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
