Memories
[edit]My Dad, a staunch Republican, always respected Jim Nance, a well known Democrat. He often used Mr. Nance as an example of smart people who bought when others were panic selling during the Depression. My Dad was a true believer in life insurance, and would tell how Mr. Nance used money he borrowed on his insurance policies to make real estate purchases. Seems the insurance companies were some of the only institutions who remained solvent during those dark, lean years. John Gray 172.56.6.30 (talk) 22:49, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
