Is hi a polish painter???
[edit]Hi had a ortodox name (imposible thing for polish in 19-th sentury), was born in Belarus, died in Belarus, he never lived in Poland... So hi is belarusian painter! Vlma111 (talk) 12:40, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
His father was greek-catholick priest. While polish people are typically roman-catholics.
