The Jeep Renegade has been around for many decades. When I grew up my aunt drove one in the 70's. I don't know why this article is claiming they're 2008+, the Renegade and Wrangler are two classic types of Jeep that have been around since Jeep first came out in Australia at least. The Wrangler was a soft top convertible and more rugged, the Renegade was a hard top convertable but more suited for city driving.
