[edit]How can he have been on this show for almost three years and there's no mention of it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.32.122.169 (talk) 09:23, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
personal life/education
[edit]in the audio interview from aspecialthing.com, gaffigan said he attended Purdue for a year before transferring to Georgetown where he graduated, studying finance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.86.203.65 (talk) 07:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Should someone mention this? It's the name of those cartoons he shows when he's a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. riana 14:49, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Should that interview be there like that?70.111.240.185 I don't think so, either. It should probably be linked to in the external link section or something similar.
No, that interview should not be there, it's hardly the sort of thing that should be in an academic forum. I needs to be an externial link or used as a refrence source (if it can be verified)
Hot Pockets?
[edit]I have heard the same thing. My brother told me his cousin got laid off due to a drastic drop in sales caused by the routine. I havn't gotten any independent varifaction. --The Emperor of Wikipedia & Protector of Wiktionary 06:36, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Psh, if they want higher sales they need to lower their prices. I love those things, but they're extremely expensive (you get more food for the same price if you go to McDonalds), which seems incongruous for a "low-brow" food.
Lower sales? I bought hot pockets only after watching his routine =P Megamanfanx7 06:32, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
There's no data to suggest anything even remotely related to Jim Gaffigan and Hot Pocket sales figures. Beyond that, his routine would have nothing to do with Nestle making cuts. There are a huge number of economic factors involved in such a thing. Placing blame like that is alarmist and certainly not encylopedic.
Fatty Arbuckle role?
[edit]I remember at one time this page mentioning that Gaffigan was slated to play Fatty Arbuckle in a biopic on his life. It doesn't seem to be there - is it still in the works? Did it fall through? Was the claim unsubstantiated?--24.90.2.51 05:05, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Unintended pun?
[edit]Do we really need to word it as "bits on Hot Pockets and Bacon?"

Quotes
[edit]why is the quote page nothing but journalists *describing* his comedy act? Why not have some excepts from his actual comedy act? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.228.88 (talk) 00:51, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Conan O'Brien?
[edit]Why is there a whole link section devoted to Conan O'Brien at the bottom? Was there some reason for this...?

Surrealist/Absurdist Humor?
[edit]Shouldn't his humor also fall under the surrealist/absurdist type? A lot of his jokes twist logic in hilarious ways. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.202.30 (talk) 09:45, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Photo
[edit]I removed the previous photo of Jim to update the image to one taken this year, http://cdn.splitsider.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Jim_Gaffigan.jpg. When I tried uploading the image I received an error indicating I am not currently able to change photos. Can someone help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsundhei (talk • contribs) 03:01, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

He "became" a DVD?
[edit]- In October 2005, he filmed a live Comedy Central special that aired the following January, and became the comedy album/DVD Beyond the Pale.
That can't be right, can it? If it is, he somehow succeeded in becoming a person again—so that's good, at least.– AndyFielding (talk) 09:46, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
