Birth date

The age at death of this person varies across sources.

Many sources say he was aged 89 at death. None of these sources list a birth date.

There are also a number of sources that say he was born in 1936 which are attributed in the article. Some of these sources were published before the obituary. Some Scottish sources put his age at death at 88.

If you are going to amend the birth date-- do so only if you have a source that is verifiable that explicitly states the birth year in line with the Wikipedia policies. Nayyn (talk) 14:07, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

His birth certificate is for 1935. The Aberdeen Press and Journal (arguably reliable but politically biassed) says 1936 but it also says he was 89 when he died which doesn't seem compatible to my poor brain. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Thincat (talk) 08:42, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
