Wrong link
[edit]John Atwood's parents were Nicholas Wood (abt. 1539-1586)... "Nicholas Wood" is a link that does not take the reader to a person who lived 1539-1586. It links to:
Nicholas Wood (24 April 1795 - 19 December 1865) was an English colliery and steam locomotive engineer. He helped engineer and design many steps forward in both engineering and mining safety, and helped bring about the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers, holding the position of President from its inauguration to his death.
Somebody should fix this or remove the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.251.123.115 (talk) 21:02, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

John Atwood (Assistant Governor) → John Atwood (colonial administrator) – or John Atwood (assistant governor). To get rid of the uppercase job title, which seems inappropriate per MOS:JOBTITLES and is inconsistent with other Wikipedia article titles. (There are currently only three articles on Wikipedia with "Governor" in uppercase in a disambiguation term.) —BarrelProof (talk) 04:29, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nomination. John Atwood (colonial administrator) seems a more apt choice since it places subject in a specific historical context. Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 05:00, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support John Atwood (colonial administrator). Generic terms are always better than specific ones. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:36, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
