[edit]The claim by New York Yacht Club in his bio regarding ownership of American Eclipse needs to be substantiated. The details fit the Thoroughbred Heritage description of the horse [1] but they do not mention Stevens. Handicapper 15:10, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Stevens Family
[edit]Hello. I have a question regarding politician Millicent Fenwick and her mother, who are a descendants/members of the Stevens family of Hoboken. Her mother was Mary Picton Stevens who married congressman and later ambassador to Spain, Ogden H. Hammond in 1907. Mary was the daughter of John Stevens and Mary Marshall McGuire. Her father, John: Was he a grandson/grandnephew or anything of this John Cox Stevens? I'd just like to know the kind of relataion between these people. Is there a possibility that the full name of Mary Stevens Hammond's father was John Cox Stevens II or III or something? Does anyone know his DOB and DOD and when and where he married Mary McGuire? Did Mary Stevens Hammond have any siblings? Any information is appreciated. I wrote the German Wikipedia articles on Millicent Fenwick and Ogden Hammond and I'm collecting information regarding Mary Stevens Hammond. Thank you, mit freundlichen Grüßen OfficeBoy (talk) 18:16, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Edwin A. Stevens had Stevens Institute of Technology created from a bequest left in his will, so how did he later go on to be a commodore at the NYCC?thegreatco (talk) 17:11, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
