While this section is well-written and informative, it needs to be sourced. Otherwise, it appears to be OR. Please provide sources, as deleting this section for lack thereof would be a pity. IndianCaverns (talk) 01:14, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where was this filmed? Many places, I guess. Why were they allowed to blow up scenic places with dynamite? Yes it was part of the plot and concern for the environment was lesser in 1954, I know. And the damage seems minimal, as far as I can tell, explosives for effect, creating a lot of dirt and dust. The rocky towers weren't brought down. Where are those towers today?
