Native ancestry claims
[edit]I know that Jones is widely respected and viewed as Native American, but I'm just not seeing the evidence for it. I don't see any proof that he's enrolled with a Cherokee or Choctaw tribe. He claims that his mother Dolores was Choctaw/Cherokee and that his granny Pearl Gurley was also. Dolores and Pearl are listed as white on the census. I see no evidence of any ancestor on the Dawes Rolls either. I'll keep searching. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 06:13, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
