Introduction change
[edit]"Jorge Luis Rojas Mendoza (born 7 January 1993) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays for Argentine club Gimnasia LP, on loan from Portuguese club Benfica, and the Paraguay national team, as a winger." is better because it's "standard" according to thousands of player articles. Furthermore, it's pointless to repeat information such as "having made his debut in 2012." SLBedit (talk) 17:59, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- No, it's not any better. It provides less information for a start, and the standard for international players is to state that they are international... GiantSnowman 18:00, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, it is better. A player could be international but not professional. "Paraguay national team" implies that he is international; "plays professionally" is silly. SLBedit (talk) 18:10, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- If "plays professionally" is, by your own admission, 'silly', why do you insist on having it? Remove that and keep the "international". GiantSnowman 18:26, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Then he becomes an amateur player. SLBedit (talk) 18:29, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- No he doesn't - also irrelevant, seeing as the "international footballer" is his reason for notability. GiantSnowman 18:34, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
