Appointment error

[edit]

The appointment of Kimball Mizelle was originally reported by Bloomberg Law on November 18, 2020, as being the first since 1896 to occur after the appointing president had lost his reelection. That error was picked up by the Tampa Bay Times and was not corrected as of November 19. However Bloomberg Law corrected its story two hours after its original publication, to reflect Breyer's appointment, but the Tampa Bay Times which had hyperlinked to the uncorrected Bloomberg Law article, and to which the error was sourced, had not made a correction. I'll write to that paper so they can make their own correction. Activist (talk) 07:20, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The sentence should read, "She thereby joined the first group of judges appointed by a president who had lost reelection at the time of confirmation since 1980." If the sentence is necessary at all, the subordinate clause is entirely unnecessary. Seaneboy44 (talk) 02:56, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
