HD 179070 → Kepler-21 – Far simpler designation that is likely to be the most searched term for readers. Consistent with other Kepler stars. 21 Andromedae (talk) 16:37, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME. A cursory search on Google Scholar yields 334 results for "Kepler-21"[1] and 23 results for "HD179070".[2] ArkHyena (talk) 13:40, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support as common name, though I would note that the nominator's strict interpretation of WP:STARNAMES elsewhere would favor the current title. SevenSpheres (talk) 17:02, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
