Nice article, but a bit of Citation overkill. Might want to deal with that. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:31, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Twitter

[edit]

Reliable tweets should IMHO be fine as a ref in a BLP, contrary to the assertion here ... the key, however, is they need to be from an authenticated account. The one deleted was from a bogus account ... though there is a verified account. --Epeefleche (talk) 18:21, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Editors must differentiate between rumours and fact on Twitter, even from verified accounts. Heyman and other good sources sometimes tweet rumours. Cpfan776 (talk) 00:50, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
RSs routinely report rumors. As rumors. Sometimes their headlines refer to rumors, as here. But I've never seen Heyman tweet a rumor as fact. --Epeefleche (talk) 02:46, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
But I regularly see people interpret rumours as fact, and sometimes update Wiki. Especially something that has been tweeted because of the 140 character format. Heck I regularly see proper articles containing the words "expected to sign" treated as fact. Cpfan776 (talk) 12:47, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Page "cleanup"

[edit]

Even though I feel it is your responsibility, User:PM800, to open a discussion here per WP:BRD, I'm going to open one and explain to you why I have partially reverted your changes here. I feel that it is unnecesary to remove statistics from the infobox (which you doubled-down on here) and divide the minor league career into individual year subsections (some of which overlap with already in-place subsections in the MLB career section). I'll invite you for a third time to explain your edits here in the hopes that we can avoid an edit-war, which I have no interest in participating in.
