Slocum Society list of circumnavigators
[edit]I asked the Slocum Society why she isn't on their list of solo circumnavigators. I got this reply:
- We confirm that Krystyna Chojnowska-Liskiewicz is the first female solo circumnavigator, began Feb. 28, 1976 from Las Palmas, Canary Island and completion March 20, 1978 at Las Palmas for a total of 401 days and traversing 31,166nm. her boat was a Conrad 32 sloop (31.2 ft).
- Our webmaster has been instructed to add Krystyna's name to our website effective 1/20/06.
Once she's listed, we should uncomment the reference in the References section. — Johantheghost 13:21, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- OK, it's fixed. — Johan the Ghost seance 11:46, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
