[edit]Merger
[edit]I vote no on the merge. The "Eppendorf tube" has an independant life from the Eppendorf company - it is able to be purchased from many suppliers, not just Eppendorf. I would support changing the title to the supplier neutral "Microcentrifuge tube", though. (Currently it's a redirect to this page.) -- Tmhand 00:21, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good plan. Onco_p53 00:37, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- One month and no further comments - I moved the page, and removed the merge note. -- Tmhand 18:54, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Stub Tag
[edit]I removed the stub tag because the article covers already Eppendorf tubes in about as much depth as is reasonable.
Merge to Centrifuge tip
[edit]On the basis that a microcentrifuge tube is a specialized set of the larger set, centrifuge tube. Many similarities exist in terms of shape and function. Microfuge tubes are specialized in that they tend to be made of plastic, and they are of much smaller volume. Discussion at Talk:Centrifuge tip. Comments please? --Rifleman 82 01:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
200ul
[edit]A photo caption has this. Should it be 200μl?
Centrifuge tip or tube?
[edit]The Centrifuge Tip heading should be changed to Centrifuge Tube. I've never heard of tip being used in the labs I've worked in. There's also a 1000 times more Google results for tube than tip. Temporaluser (talk) 06:57, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
theory section
[edit]I do not know much about centrifuges, but i do know enough to say that the theory session needs to be redone. Like where does that number 0.00001118 come from? I assume it is supposed to be a mass, since g or RCF is supposed to be a force. But what unit does that mass have? g? kg? And what is the unit of that RCF? N? something exotic?
I would appreciate if someone more knowledgeable than me could improve this section. --Zvpunry (talk) 12:28, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
