Lake Arenal existed before a dam was constructed, so I don't think referring to it as reservoir is appropriate.--Coulee 19:53, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was VERY SMALL when it was a natural lake, after the whole Arenal Hydroelectric Project and the Dam was constructed is technically a reservoir. --T0rek 10:10, August 1st, 10:12 (GMT)

Eastern or western?

[edit]

"Lake Arenal was tripled in size with the construction of the Arenal dam in 1979, which exists at the eastern end of the lake. This hydroelectric project exists at the western end of the lake..." There's probably a logical explanation for this that's escaping me. Maybe it could be clarified. Dgndenver (talk) 17:19, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
