Wrong captions

[edit]

Captions below the photos contain wrong dates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.254.1.50 (talk) 10:23, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. The time stamp watermarks in the two images uploaded by Fredknight were obviously wrong, as they were definitely not photographed on January 1, in the dead of winter. Most likely, the camera battery was dead on the morning the photo was taken, and when a fresh battery was installed, the camera "woke up" and went to a default date of January 1, 2006. I removed the watermarks by cloning nearby features in the images and changed the Exif data in the files arbitrarily to July 28, 2007, since the original upload dates to Wikipedia were in early August 2007. Late July would also be consistent with the angle of the Sun and lack of snow. — QuicksilverT @ 18:37, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
