Removing PROD
[edit]User:Jenks24 PRODded the article on March 14, 2012, asserting "Fails WP:NBASKETBALL and I can't see any significant coverage so I don't believe he meets WP:GNG"
- He clearly passes NBASKETBALL as he has played for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C., a team in the Israeli Basketball Super League, which is the highest professional basketball league in Israel. This league is also an established and respected league internationally, akin to Israel's version of the NBA. Part of NBASKETBALL states "...or a similar major professional sports league." The IBSL clearly falls under that standard.
- Lyons was also written about here.
- Lyons was a competitor for Team USA at the 2011 Pan American Games and won a bronze medal. This achievement in itself doesn't mean inherent notability, but coupled with the above points it makes his case that much stronger. Jrcla2 (talk) 15:05, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, I missed the "or a similar major professional sports league" of NBASKETBALL. I've seen you around on basketball stuff and you seem to know what's up, so I'll trust you that the IBSL is a major league. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 01:12, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
