Houghton Brook or Knapps Brook[edit]

Lewsey Brook joins Houghton Brook. Geographically, the downstream watercourse should be called Houghton Brook and may have inappropriately been named Knapps Brook. There is not any historical justification for the name “Knapps” and further corroboration should be undertaken to verify the name of Houghton Brook between Lewsey Brook and the River Lea.
