The official list[1] is out. Looks like most of them are missing here. Anyone got the time to fix this? G. Timothy Walton (talk) 01:07, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. --TheImaCow (talk) 16:36, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To Oklahoma City Thunder

Fixed yesterday. The 2024 pick was originally CHA, not NOP. The NBA press release writers need to be shown the dictionary definition of via. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 00:16, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes

[edit]

1. November 23 Ed Davis trade to New york. Two future second round picks going to New York not Utha. 2. November 24 4 team trade. It's OKC not Detroit. 3. November 22 2021 POR protected first-round pick protections 2021 first round draft pick from Portland Portland's 1st round pick to Houston protected for selections 1-14 in 2021, 1-14 in 2022, 1-14 in 2023, 1-14 in 2024, 1-14 in 2025, 1-14 in 2026 and 1-14 in 2027; if Portland has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Houston by 2027, then Houston will instead receive Portland's 2027 2nd round pick [Houston-Portland, 11/22/2020]

Complete recheck of the section being done today. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 21:02, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Free agent Dwight Howard signing date needs to be changed to 11/22 from 11/21 because free agents officially were able to sign only from 11/22 and not 11/21. Pifas225 (talk) 18:10, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cited article states November 21. There's an exception that allows early re-signing of a team's free agents; I made the same mistake last year. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 02:11, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Someone added Aaron Brooks, two-way liaison officer ...as two-way player in free agency two-way...please delete him...this is embarrassing... Pifas225 (talk) 19:58, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Please try to write a little more clearly. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 00:14, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove Breein Tyree from free agent list as this is exhibit 10 (training camp deal). Pifas225 (talk) 10:25, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cited article states only that he has been signed by the team. Exhibit 10 players still count as part of the team until they're waived, as do training-camp deals. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 15:35, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove Paul Eboua from free agent list as this is exhibit 10 (training camp deal). Pifas225 (talk) 10:28, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As above. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 15:37, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Colour coding free agents.

I don't know whose idea it was to add the two extra background indicators but the list will end up looking like the coat of arms of a snake if this continues. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 17:06, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:NUMBERSIGN

[edit]

Apparently using the # sign is against the Wikipedia Manual of Style.

I think an exception could be justified, given the ungainliness of constructions like "(2008 No. 44)" or "Houston will receive the pick if it's No. 15-30, in 2024 (No. 13-30), in 2025 (No. 11-30), or 2026 (No. 9-30);"

I'd like some other opinions before deciding whether to ignore MOS:NUMBERSIGN and change things back. G. Timothy Walton (talk) 04:06, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
