Episode

I think they should have a first episode were they show the gang firszt going to Lyoko knda like Ulrich does in Amnesia -Icylizard029

That's what I thought for a while. Fortunately, MoonScoop is making (or probably has made, at this point) and introduction film explaining just how the gang found Lyoko. Check out the media page for more info.--Jeremie@theLab 00:48, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Actually, this episode HAS been made. Watch the first episodes in season 3. They're the prequel to the series. (About 50 episodes too late lol.)
Yea, it's called "Xana Awakens Part I" and "Xana Awakens Part II" (Though they have no episode number they were released between episode 52 and 53.)

This Page Needs Work...A LOT of Work

I noticed that the vast majority of episode articles in these guides are blank. We should work on completing them, preferably before Season 3 airs in the USA. Before the editing begins, I just want to know, was work stopped on these pages because it was too much effort, CL went off the air, recaps for all episodes would mean plot spoilers, etc.?--Jeremie@theLab 17:16, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

I just stopped. By all means, write up some more. Just make sure to categorize them properly so others can find them. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 19:50, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

I noticed that a lot of discussions for the episodes in the first season are blank. Why? Williamsnotcute 23:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Because no one feels the need to comment on every page for absolutely no reason. Discussion pages are for improving the article. They're not forums for discussing its subject. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:37, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, you really don't have to be rude about it. There are people in this world who would be hurt by the rude things you say. I was only asking an innocent question. I wasn't suggesting actually fill them in. Williamsnotcute (talk) 20:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

This is ingenius!

Added the screencap thing to the ep descrpyions is purely genius! Want me to find some? --User:Angie Y.

Go ahead. Some rules for formatting first. All images must be formatted as such: [[Image:ImageName.jpg|150px]]. Add them to the field maked with rowspan="2". – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 00:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Episode "Three is an Odd Number"

that isnt the title anymore! it is now "Triple Trouble"! i tried to correct it hundreds of times, but someone keeps on changing it back!!! why?

dumbass, Ur thinking of the episode double trouble. --71.218.98.201 (talk) 21:13, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Season 3

Season 1 was just random episodes. While season 2 gave more of a story-line, it still had character development with Aelita. Season 3 was just..there! Mainly because the other seasons got 26 episodes, and this one only 13. It was advertised as a 'bridge' to season 2 and 4, but was short and sweet. Maybe bittersweet. Knowing Ill have to wait again until March isnt very comforting though.

Also Season 3 was too short to introduce much. There are only three real changes I even saw in the season. 1) XANA can possess more people, and is stronger being able to possess Aelita to delete sectors. 2)Aelita has a new weapon, her energy field(should be called blasts) making her a force to be reconned with. I like that she hasnt been given a vehicle(that still makes her the princess). 3) ..and lastly William, who just causes more drama then he's worth when he gets possessed. Sector 5 is dangerous and he shouldnt be intiated there unless he listened to a older team member's orders.

Anyway, while we wait for season 4, expect new sectors, monsters, and everything to change. Because its hard to have Code Lyoko..well without Lyoko. --Jeydo

This isn't a forum, just so you know. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:37, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Selecting Screenshots

Maybe I'm just an idealist or something, but I don't think the screenshot for Teddygozilla should be of Sissi. I mean, first episode she's practically an antagonist! I asked Jeremie@theLab if screenshots that relate to the titles would be redundant, and he said yes. But still, I have seen cartoons where one of the protagonists acted like Sissi. Having her in the first screenshot is somewhat misleading. If you want my opinion...since the prequel has both Jeremie and Aelita in its screenshot, Teddygozilla should have a screenshot of Odd. Then a screenshot of Ulrich in Seeing is Believing, and one of Yumi in Holiday in the Fog. Then we could introduce Sissi! --Aelita@Lyoko 03:30, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

The point is to illustrate a defining scene in the episode. The present image of Sissi does that. The others wouldn't. Jeremie meeting Aelita illustrates the prequal. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:32, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Is there a screenshot of Odd by that mike? I think that would be a "defining scene". --Aelita@Lyoko 03:33, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

That wouldn't be a defining screenshot. Sissi's in a unique outfit in a unique location. Odd's at a microphone. Find a picture of the bear and you'll have something. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:37, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Wouldn't that be redundant? Come on - it's the first episode! Everything's a definition of something! Ok, how's this - Odd in Lyoko just about to have his vision of Aelita falling off the ledge. And, I can't find a picture of anything, my access is restricted. Which is a shame, since I'd like to see just what Odd looks like every time his "future flash" thing kicks in. --Aelita@Lyoko 03:44, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Think about it in the context of the series at large. Sissi nevers wears that outfit more than once. It's an easily-identifiable scene. Same with the bear. The five main characters aren't very good for identifing specific scenes. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 03:56, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Maybe this screenshot is unnecessary, but I think that there has to be at least one screenshot for the third season! --Aelita@Lyoko 23:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I've thought about it. Someguy, find a screenshot of that kingsize teddy bear, I don't care if it's redundant! Also, if we're talking "defining," wouldn't a shot of Aelita waking up be a more defining shot for "Xana Awakens" than of Aelita and Jeremie staring at each other? --Aelita@Lyoko 23:40, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

estimation

I did some calculating and I estimate that the third season will start sometime between February 28, 2007, and March 4, 2007. Anybody else gonna take a guess? Chikinpotato11 21:54, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

It doesn't start in France until March. Guess again. Also, don't guess here. If you have some facts, that'd be appropriate to talk about, but the talk page isn't for guessing. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:58, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

I didn't say where it would premiere. I just estimated when it would premiere. --Chikinpotato11 18:42, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

According to the guy who copy-pasted the e-mail, it will be released in spring in USA, september in France. Barraki 17:11, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

For this French programme...

As Code Lyoko is a French programme, the original French title and original French airdate should mentioned. It is not an American programme. However, this article only mentions English title and American airdate.--JSH-alive talk to mesee my worksmail to me 07:17, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

OK. Only thing remain is adding French titles. In addition, can you switch American airdate and French airdate?--JSH-alive talk to mesee my worksmail to me 11:06, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Anyway, France is not even the first french-speaking country to see them: season 3 was released in Belgium before. Barraki 18:17, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Well, you can find the french dates here: http://www.codelyoko.net/FRA/Liste_Resumes_Episodes.htm#1
But I have no source for Belgium
Anyway, since season 3, episodes are first written in English (as the writer director answered to my e-mail; I asked it because there are obvious translation mistakes in the french version). Barraki 23:37, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Consistancy

I personally would rather have all episodes either <Episode Name> or (Preferablly) <Episode Name> Code Lyoko Episode.

How would you all like to have it? On one hand, you would have to move a lot of pages if you change it to <Episode Name> Code Lyoko Episode, but you would have to edit a lot of links in the pages if you do <Episode Name>. What are your opinions? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lyoko is Cool (talkcontribs) 16:16, 19 February 2007 (UTC).

Disambiguation is only necessary when the title is the same as another article. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 18:53, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm not talking about disambugation. I just want the titles of the pages to all be in one format.

The (Code Lyoko episode) is what disambiguation is. It is for situations where the episode shares a title with another article. We only add it when necessary. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 20:18, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Season 4

Does anyone know when it's going to be out? It says "March of 2007" but we're rapidly running out of March of '07 and no sign of season 4 yet... Joe 12:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Maybe they meant April of '07.--74.138.102.134 18:47, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

According to the site CodeLyoko.com, June 5th will be the US release date of the season 4 episodes. May 18th should just be the first episode to get people pumped about the upcoming season.--75.58.100.75 08:12, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Read what you just wrote, then explain how that's supposed to make sense. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

It's two different people smart one. My date of June 5th in response to his idea of April of '07. But yes, they often times have previews of upcoming seasons. What I'm getting at is that they're just going to show the first episode then continue the series in June.--75.58.100.75 08:12, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Fine, since the sarcasm escaped you, I'll be more serious. A "preview" is not a whole episode. That they are playing the episode on the 18th indicates that they moved up the date. Without evidence to the contrary, this is what we assume. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:10, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Evidence to the contrary is located on the CodeLyoko.com site which is created and maintained by the creators of Code Lyoko themselves. And so I believe we are both at a stand-off due to there being two separate dates by two credible sources. One being the creator and one being the station. So we need to find which one was posted more recently to determine which is the more credible source. Can we agree on that?--75.58.100.75 08:18, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

The broadcaster trumps the website for the show, which is incomplete and updated irregularly. When it comes to broadcast information, the network is the deciding factor, not the property it licenses. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:22, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Then I propose we wait and see. If it fails to air after May 18 (And by after, I mean the next week), then the decided date is June 5th. I have already sent an e-mail to Cartoon Network to have them clarify for me the exact date. I'm sure that we can both agree that the date has been changed around so much that nobody can truly be sure of its exact time and day. Deal?--75.58.100.75 08:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Deal, but listing May 18 is still correct, as it is what Cartoon Network's schedule lists at the moment. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Merging the episodes

Even though it will likely just be Someguy0830 that responds, does anyone care if the episodes are redirected to the list? Nemu 17:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, this time someone else should agree. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 17:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Is Angie Y. likely to agree? She seems like the only person who is really active in editing these. Nemu 17:56, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Hell if I know. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 17:57, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Well if she is fine with it after I ask, I'll go ahead and and start. I just hope their aren't any Jason Palpatine-like people here (He doesn't edit these, does he?). Nemu 18:00, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Revert the episodes back please! I never even agreed to anything RESEMBLING what you have done! Angie Y. 02:45, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

They were merged per WP:EPISODE. Provide third party development and analysis citations or your plea is useless. You didn't have to agree, but I was hoping to avoid this. Nemu 18:07, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, whoa! Angie, calm down - that insult wasn't needed, and the Internet is public. Do you really want people to know you say things like that? This just isn't a big issue, okay? -- Aelita@Lyoko (talk) 23:57, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, I have to say for my part that I put in a lot of effort on the episode articles last summer, doing most all the tedious interlinking and detail addition, etc. I put in most all episode articles for Seasons 1 and 2. I know we're all trying to avoid war here, but I have to say to the powers-that-be: you could've given us suggestions for article improvements and time to implement them before deleting everything in a back-room deal style.  Jeremie @theLab
I agree 105%. Angie Y. 01:43, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
There is no way to improve them. They lack any proper development or reception notes necessary to warrant a page. If I had just left a note, nothing would have gotten done. See WP:EPISODE for more. TTN 01:49, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

That's a lie! There are thousands of ways that you can improve them! Angie Y. 02:32, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Name five possible ones that fit WP:EPISODE. TTN 02:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Any and all of them. They were MORE than just a plot summary. Angie Y. 03:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Quotes and trivia don't count as content. I'm still not seeing any ways that they could be improved upon. TTN 03:36, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

I still say revert the episodes back! I never agreed to anything resembling the horror that you have done! All my fine work - RUINED! Angie Y. 14:55, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

You don't own the articles or anything. Once again, your agreement wasn't necessary for this to happen. I just wanted to avoid a confrontation if possible. You either have to meet the standards of WP:EPISODE or they're staying redirects. TTN 14:58, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
I support you Angie. This user is just jealous of you because he/she can't write a good article himself/herself. The Prince of Darkness 16:39, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Do you really mean that? Angie Y. 17:44, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Or I just want to get rid of the pointless fancruft articles that people hold so dearly. TTN 16:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
I FULLY support Angie. If i had it my way and somone bothered to do it i would have scripts for every episode written down, but not in this life. I'm not active enough on wikipedia to bother doing it mysef.--Iamcon 15:01, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
FINALLY! Someone aggrees with me! Why do you think there is an episode succession template? Angie Y. 16:29, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

While I did like the episode pages, they don't really belong here as per guidelines in WP:EPISODE, particularly the scene-by-scene synopsis. Removing that would have left them at stub-length. If you want longer episode details including the stuff that was on the previous pages, they might be better fit for tv.com? Seems like a link for that could be in order. Zig 14:49, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

yes but a basic ep summary in the box is just useless! WpZurp

I agree, and this really should never have happened. It was very, very good work. *now trying very hard not to have an emotional breakdown.* I am trying very hard not to go overboard right now, but I really think the episode summaries should be brought back. *sob* Williamsnotcute 19:02, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

Is this whole fiasco over yet? Codelyoko193 Talk 14:41, 17 July 2007 (UTC) No. Williamsnotcute (talk) 21:02, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

William Returns

I changed the episode number of William Returns to "Special" because it is not actually an episode according to a Cartoon Network commercial. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ratmaster (talkcontribs) 00:49, 13 May 2007 (UTC).

Wrong. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:59, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Why is it not an episode? I never saw the commercial, so I need to know. Spottedstar 21:31, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
The episode aired with episode number 66. It's therefore the first episode of season 4, as it is put now in the article. Zig 19:29, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
AAAGH!!! The episode aired ALREADY?! I think I was someplace with cable on May 18th! Is it on Youtube yet? SOMEBODY TELL ME!!! -- Aelita@Lyoko (talk) 00:11, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

uuummm is 67 out on 12th or 5th- WpZurp

Date of episode 67's USA airing.

This date seems a bit dubious to me. Why? Because, on June 12, 2007, sometime before 10 AM GMT, I watched the whole episode, in English, on YouTube. If it was supposed to have aired in the USA on June 12, 2007, not only would it have to have been aired before 5 AM at the latest (by eastern time), but also, someone would have had to record, rip, split up, and upload the episode to YouTube, and then it would have to be processed by YouTube. This seems very skeptical. ~ Keiji (iNVERTED) (Talk | Contribs) 16:48, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Ugh

An IP address messed up the page, so upon putting the CL template and external links, the page acts weird. I can't seem to fix it. Codelyoko193 Talk 14:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

I think I fixed what you were talking about (I wasn't signed in so my edit shows up as an IP too.) It was missing some curly braces, a pipe and a curly brace to close the table on the last episode description of the 4th season, causing all that extra stuff to be inside the episodes table. --Faits 19:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

78 Bragging Rights is 79?

I changed the episode number to 79 because that is what the episode said, apparently the skipped an episode. I also upped the other episodes. Now most people who haven't seen the french or hebrew versions of 78 won't understand what is going on. Please update me so I know what is going on. --Ratmaster 15:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Yep, they skipped an episode. Major screwup! Codelyoko193 Talk HHC! 18:28, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
I guess that depends on what you call a major screwup. A friend of mine said that the skipped episode would have confirmed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the show is set in France. Could somebody tell me what TBA means? -- Aelita@Lyoko (talk) 23:04, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
To be announced, and it doesn't confirm anything, other than the fact that the Replika is in the Amazon. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Someguy, it also shows the first use of Translation or whatever it is called, so the 7 year olds who don't really understand the show may get confused. Thanks, Codelyoko193 Talk 23:24, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, yeah, there's that too, but people catch on fairly quick. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:33, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. Just curious, does anyone have a link to the skipped episode? Even if it's in French, I want to see Aelita in action the first time! -- Aelita@Lyoko (talk) 22:51, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
The reason why is because in the episode odd says bullcrap so they are try to fix that. Djf2014 21:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
No, that's not the reason. Cursing is easily removed in the dubbing process. It's a mistake in airing, nothing more. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:14, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
I've been hearing rumors lately that #78 was never translated to begin with. Now, I don't know what has been going on with the show's production but I seem to recall that the fourth season was planned for 30 episodes, but now we seem to be ending at 21... or 20 rather with the bit factored in. I don't know if the list truly ends at #86 or if it has just stopped there for the time being before going on to #95, but having been fooled before on other shows (and in light of the confusion over Heroes (TV series)) I think this stuff is in desperate need of clarification. Sweetfreek 22:55, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
We don't list episodes without titles. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:27, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
That in no way changes my point. Do we have a final and absolute episode production count for the 4th season or not? Sweetfreek 07:57, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, 30, same as it has been. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:42, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Its Maya?

Correct me if im wrong, but when i heard the temporary name for Aelita In the first prequel Xana awakens part 1, I thought it was spelled Mia, not Maya. Is that right? Does it matter how its spelled?

Mia would not be pronounced "Maya". — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:37, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Mia would be mee-uh, whereas Maya would My-yuh. Thanks, Codelyoko193 (T/C) 14:09, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Will there be a season 5?

Is there going to be a season 5 after this season? This is kindof a sad ending, and it doesn't seem right for the story to end now. Is there any confirmed info about a season 5? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.254.168.245 (talk) 01:46, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

No info. There may be, but nothing's confirmed. The possibility of a movie (direct-to-DVD I assume) is also out there. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
All I know is that the overall season 4 summary said that it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but I think a tv series can bring up extra seasons without resorting to cliffhangers on the previous season. Can I complain about how many details are going on the 4th season episode summaries, by the way? If that many details are going in, this page will start needing spoiler alerts! I just got on to get the gist of what's coming, and I find myself reading about exactly how the series will end!
