Coincidence? (the name Eric Raymond, and ESR)

Does the main villain in the series, Eric_Raymond have any connection (such as etymological or "historical") with ESR (Eric S. Raymond)? If not, then shouldn't there be an informative "disclaimer" statement ("no relation") inserted, at Eric_Raymond_(Jem)#Eric_Raymond?
