Mike Sullivan

[edit]

The link does not point to the Mike Sullivan that played for Miami. I am not sure where a link for him is, but he is going into the UM Hall of Fame, so perhaps there is a page for him somewhere.... CodeCarpenter (talk) 21:47, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Although listing the former 'Canes in the NFL is very good, I think showing just how far above the 'Canes are above the second place college program (I think it's FSU) is would be interesting. I did an informal analysis and I believe it was almost twice as many as FSU. Also, if a qualitative study was to rank relative performance in the NFL, I believe the 'Canes NFL players would be even more outstanding. Also, an interesting sideline may be to see if there was one point in time where every team in the NFL had at least one 'Cane on it. If anybody has a database like this, I could provide the SQL that would extract this information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.180.124.55 (talk) 12:32, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Futher work

[edit]
  • There are statements as of the 2006 season. Any data for the 2009 season?
  • Some of the coaches list NFL teams, others list college teams -- Why the difference, and shouldn't the article explain what is being listed after the coach's name?
  • Jarrett Payton is listed as running back for the Toronto Argonauts(CFL) -- What is the scope of this article?

I have left him a message requesting sources for the claims:

  • "The University of Miami's football program has had great success in producing players who go on to the National Football League."
  • "This remarkable pipeline from the University of Miami to the NFL has led to the university being dubbed 'NFL U'."
  • "The predominant role of Miami alumni in the NFL has been the subject of numerous national sports media articles."
  • "As of the 2006 season, the University of Miami has more of its alumni on active NFL rosters than any other college or university in the nation." Is this still true in 2009?

These factual claims require support through an in-line reference. Absent some reliable source, Wikipedia policy requires that they be removed from the article. I would appreciate your help in locating citations for these claims. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 22:23, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is a promising article that needs major work. Most urgently, players should be organized alphabetically under their respective positions. MiamiDolphins3 (talk) 23:01, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seigler

[edit]

Seigler was undrafted in 1994. He spent the 1994 season on the practice squad of the Dolphins, the 1995 season on the PS of the Seahawks, before he played for them in the 1996 und 1997 season. 1998 was he on the offseasonroster of the Cardinals and played the 1998 and 1999 season in the NFL Europe for the Amsterdam Admirals.--JTCEPB (talk) 12:54, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
