[edit]Highway 7 does not run through Cole Harbour the 207 does ,please do not delete Westplal ,Preston and Lake Echo .Please consult a realable source .--Vic 22:43, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- The list of towns is not supposed to list every little community on the route, otherwise they'd be as long as the articles themselves. Only major communities need to be listed. Westphal is part of Dartmouth anyway, so it should not be listed seperately. As for Preston and Lake Echo, listing every single suburb's going to take up too much space and overdescribe that part of the route as opposed to the rest of route 7's length. I appreciate your enthusiasm (seems I'm the only one that does any Maritime road articles), but make sure you're accurate. Kirjtc2 22:51, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Preston is a large and very famous African Canadian community in Nova Scotia
Lake Echo is a communiyt too.--Vic 17:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Communities to be added to list
[edit]We need a consensus on the detail of the list.
There is an argument that all communities should be added to this list. Tell a person that lives in that specific village that they are not worth mentioning in Wikipedia! If the community is distinctive enough to have an article, then it should be mentioned. Since most of the rural communities of NS do not have articles the argument exists that they are insignificant but I assume that eventually someone will write them.
On the other hand, there are separate pages for each route. The communities that the routes pass through are included on those pages. Therefore, it is argued that only the terminus (terminuses...terminae) should be written on this page.

- I support the terminus argument myself. Just because I start the discussion doesn't limit me from opinion. Andrew647 14:36, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just to give an example of what I have planned for an edit, look at the Collector Roads with the Road images. If the decision sways towards terminus, I will conform all other roads on the page to that standard. Andrew647 15:17, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I would agree if there are pages about the routes, that information should be contained there and the route From-To Terminus should be contained here. The only issue I have is are we sure all of the routes that have their own page deserve one? Some routes are famous/infamous so they have their own page but if the route page just says "From Halifax through Dartmouth, Falmoth, Windor, Wolfville", that information could easily be contained here. I haven't looked through the route pages so I don't know. I am just offering an opinion on that matter.-Kirkoconnell 15:55, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- That's a good point. It is true that some of the pages do not contain much information besides "This is a road." When I have the opportunity to go the roads, I will try to find reasons to justify the existence of individual articles. I brought up this discussion to try and resolve the issue of what towns are included in the list. Andrew647 16:54, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
