This is no longer original research

[edit]

This is no longer original research as the information it relies on now relates to a past event called the pre-war Russia of 2021. This is now a joke on Wikipedia and it isn't of much use like it used to be, mods don't even allow edits and find themselves 'backing up' dictators and sanctioned individuals because they won't go for a leg-stretch or allow the mods on *daylight* timezones to take over once it's time to call it a night. You get the idea.--148.252.146.215 (talk) 01:09, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update data

[edit]

Please update new data from here. Newone (talk) 08:15, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ditto from [1] if anyone is feeling bored--Jac16888 Talk 18:29, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Data is incorrect: It lists Vladimir Putin in the place of Vladimir Potatin. Those are two different people. Check against Forbes' source and correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nnappe (talkcontribs) 21:59, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

missing billionaires?

[edit]

Hello;

there are 2 other Russian billionaires:

Yuri Shefler (NW: 1,8 BL $; owner of S.P.I. Group; sector: production and sale of alcoholic beverages)(private life: owner of the 134 mt yacht "Serene", built by the Italian yard Fincantieri)

Viktor Rashnikov (NW: 4,8 BL $; Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Enterprise)(private life: owner of the 140 mt yacht "Ocean Victory", built by the Italian yard Fincantieri)

Sources

[edit]

"Compiled by Forbes"...? Ok. Now, how Forbes estimates billionaires from their...stock prices, is stated by them, whether that is a reasonable approach or not. But, how can you estimate the wealth of Vladimir Putin? Forbes relies on "because I said so". There is no transparency. This isn't information, this is an advertisement for a magazine. There needs to be some sort of elaboration why these numbers are not made up out of thin air. 2001:7C0:205F:3:0:0:566A:C092 (talk) 23:14, 3 March 2022 (UTC)SomeGuy[reply]

It's not Putin but Vladimir Potanin

[edit]

Please correct the information. According to the source the 2nd billionaire is Vladimir Potanin not Vladimir Putin. 70.30.239.225 (talk) 21:24, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate title and short list

[edit]

I think the article should be renamed to conform to the format of similar articles. Other articles are called List of *** billionaires by net worth (Spanish, Swedish, and so on). Accordingly, the title should be List of Russian billionaires by net worth. I searched and found that in previous versions (for example) the article was more consistent with its title. The table included all persons with a net worth of 1 billion or more. I don't know why they were reduced to 10 people now. --Rotterdamned (talk) 13:43, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
