[edit]Created page with majority of B-52 squadrons deactivated over the years. Size quadrupled, so separate page was broken off. Need B-36/B-47 squadrons that DID NOT switch to B-52... also need ANG bomb squ w/B-1s...TDRSS (talk) 03:20, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Nature of List
[edit]I've removed the units that have been redisgnated as another type of squadron (fighter, test, flying training, etc) in an effort to control the length of the various squardon lists. I am open to discussing the nature of the list and include former bomb squadrons, however, I'd like to get a concensus before we do. Ndunruh (talk) 00:48, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
The list should include all Bomb Squadrons over the years or the list would only be about 8 squadrons long (current Bomb Squadrons). The notes should annotate if a squadron is inactive/redesignated/ etc. I would use the USN squadron lists as an example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.156.218.74 (talk) 20:20, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- Not quite, dactivated squadrons that haven't been redisgnated are fine (and there are a lot of them). Adding all the redisgnated squadrons seems to include nearly every squadron in the Air Force...--Ndunruh (talk) 02:43, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
