Adding all breweries
[edit]I am adding all breweries from all states in the list of US Breweries. I added just these two as there was yet to be a page for Florida and I am learning about Wiki coding. States will be completed daily. Sources are being added, mostly from the Brewers Association. The goal is to list all the current breweries in production. The pages exist listing SOME breweries, but not others. Just because they are companies, they are part of a larger beer culture; which I am trying to add to wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by JayMaslar (talk • contribs) 06:11, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Breweries without their own Wikipedia articles
[edit]I'm going to restore a previous version of this article that includes breweries that do not have their own Wikipedia articles. Per WP:GNG, the Wikipedia notability guideline is to determine whether a subject should have its own Wikipedia article, not whether it should be included in an article or list about a broader subject. And per WP:ListBrew, breweries may be listed here if they have a reliable, third-party reference to verify their existence. These standards are widely used on Wikipedia in general, and in the "List of breweries in X" articles in particular. — Mudwater (Talk) 11:36, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
To say the same thing in a different way: By Wikipedia guidelines, articles and lists may include material that by itself would not be notable enough to have its own article, and very often including this material improves the article. It's only necessary to include third-party references for verification. Therefore this article is much better like this than like this. And this is not just my opinion, there's widespread agreement among editors who have worked on the "List of breweries in X" articles. — Mudwater (Talk) 12:15, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
