covenant school shooter - misinfo/bias thing with the source for the list

The reference for the shooting in the table/list of shootings is an archived page which incorrectly identifies the shooter as a transgender woman, which was probably the result of confusion at the time but should in my opinion be replaced with a better source that at least accurately represents the shooter's identity as a transgender man. i dont edit wikipedia and i doubt im gonna get in the habit of it so don't know if it would need to be a source from the time of the shooting - but that source being there feels deliberate to me, to continue to spread misinformed initial claims that trans women were the suspects of mass shootings where the suspects later turned out to not be trans women (this has happened twice that I know of, including this shooting)

the actual article on the nashville shooter represents things correctly so maybe i shouldnt be suspicious but i am 96.253.39.126 (talk) 01:02, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
