[edit]

As we fill out this article, there remain gaps for the stations in some of the cities, notably Medford and Bend. If you live (or have recently lived) in those areas, can you help out and add some more entries? Thanks. - HowardLive, Monday, Aug. 28, 2006

"Religious" vs. "Christian"

[edit]

I just thought I'd let whomever it may concern know that I am in the process of changing the format designation of any and all stations in this list designated as "Religious" to being designated as "Christian". All the stations designated as "Religious" are Christian Stations, and as a Christian I take offense to the one true religion (Christianity, and specifically protestant christianity) being lumped together with all of the other false "religions" of the world. Therefore, I am designating the christian stations as just that, Christian, rather than just "Religious".

Reversion of Baker City edits

[edit]

The current name of Baker is Baker City and has been that way 20 years. They are the same place. The FCC should catch up. It's confusing to have both places listed here. Katr67 07:11, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Old Version vs. New Version

[edit]

I think the old version of this page is better than the current version... I think that having the stations listed alphabetically, by city/town, is far more user friendly... I tried to revert the page to the old version but some would-be do-gooder stuck their nose in and screwed it all up. Er Wer Schrieb Es (talk) 04:10, 8 December 2007 (UTC)§[reply]

Please don't characterize good faith edits that way. Perhaps you should take a look at WP:CIVIL. Did you see that the current table is sortable by whatever parameter you choose? Katr67 (talk) 04:28, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The list is sortable by city of license. More importantly, this design is more internationalized and the standard as established at WP:WPRS. JPG-GR (talk) 04:30, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)Yes, I was going to say that according to this diff, there was discussion at WT:WPRS, so if you want to discuss the changes, perhaps you should bring it up over there. Katr67 (talk) 04:35, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
("Good Faith Edits") No edit that detracts from a page's overall user-friendliness is a "Good Faith Edit"Er Wer Schrieb Es (talk) 16:55, 8 December 2007 (UTC)§[reply]
You might want to be careful. When you remove text such as the country something is in, that removes the world view. Which might qualify then as: No edit that detracts from a page's overall user-friendliness is a "Good Faith Edit". So, feel free to experiment, maybe try the "Show preview" button to see what you are doing before "Save page" next time. And though anyone can edit, well anyone can edit. That is, feel free to make changes, but anyone can change it right back. As to which version, I prefer the sortable table, but we'll let consensus decide on which one, I only reverted since you removed the world view and introduced duplicates. Throwing out the baby with the bathwater

[edit]

Reversion attempted twice by User:Dravecky needs discussion. 67.101.5.234 (talk) 22:00, 6 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]

First, I think you'll find that User:JPG-GR reverted you the first time. Second, we can't legally include the ratings data in this way. Third, perhaps what you want is to write an article called Radio stations in Portland, Oregon which would be a perfectly good core article for Category:Radio stations in Portland, Oregon as long as it consisted of more than a list and was not so reliant on the problematic ratings data. - Dravecky (talk) 00:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ditto everything Dravecky said. JPG-GR (talk) 03:28, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FM HD

[edit]

This list does not include the HD channels on FM. For instance, in Portland the following FM stations have 2 channels with different programming on each channel: KOPB, KGON, KNRK, KYCH, KUPL, KWJJ (3 Channels) and on and on... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.22.28.153 (talk) 16:15, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
