Oh, reasons to delete this "article? Hmm, let me have a moment…

Socalled "signature models" have been around for almost a century, at least. Example: the Gibson "Nick Lucas Special," released 1927.

The root term is undefined. So, does Washburn's DD series qualify as a Dan Donegan "signature" line even though he named it the Maya after his daughter? (And why are there ZERO Washburns on the list?)

How about the First Act 222 line, named after the "lucky number" of endorser Adam Levine?

Steve Howe is identified with the ES-175 and Ted Nugent with the Byrdland. That mere association DOES NOT make them "signature models" any more than every Strat (and copy thereof) is "a Buddy Holly signature model."
